Michelle is a team member of the Networking division at Teens In Health. She is currently a sophomore at Proof School in San Francisco. If she is not working with her fellow teammates at Teens In Health, Michelle is passionate about molecular biology, art, and movement. She loves to be with other people, go on long runs, and dance.

Hello! My name is Emily Nguyen and I am a rising junior at Arroyo High School. During the school year, I play badminton and compete in DECA. In the future I plan on specializing in cosmetic dermatology. I joined Teens in Health to meet new people and promote diversity in the medical community :)

Fatema Bhaiji is a high schooler in the Bay Area passionate about connecting the art of writing with science. She is currently the lead of Teens In Health Curriculum and Science Now Blog where articles on upcoming scientific topics are produced.
Sarah Khan
My name is Sarah Khan and I am a Junior at El Cerrito High School. I’m passionate about making the changes I want to see in this world, especially when it comes to the health field. In my free time, I run student organizations focused on mental health and activism, which includes organizing protests, highlighting systemic issues in POC communities, and ultimately making sure that I’m doing the work I hope to observe others do as well. On the side, I also enjoy going on long runs, reading, and drawing!

Michael Okada is a rising senior at Hillsdale High School as well as an avid origami folder and tennis player. He hopes that Teens in Health can continue to help guide other students considering a career in healthcare and be a viable resource for people of all communities.

Hello! My name is Alisha, and I am currently attending Oakland Charter High School. I am particularly interested in pharmacy and anesthesiology along with learning about human anatomy. Taking part in science outreach and helping increase awareness around health and life sciences are things I am passionate about.
Anika Gupta
Anika is a senior motivated towards pursuing a career in biotechnological research, specifically in genetic editing technologies. There are countless treatments and medications in the healthcare industry that have so many adverse side effects that may harm already suffering patients, and Anika hopes that by researching genetics, it will become easier to target the underlying causes of diseases and produce safer drugs and treatments. To reach this goal, Anika is currently involved with Teens in Health and similar organizations devoted to education and outreach in healthcare. But when she isn’t doing this, she enjoys singing, playing the piano, and playing with her cat.

My name is Meron Gebre and I am a senior attending Oakland Tech. In the future I want to pursue a career in public health and my hobbies include making art and swimming.
Megan Mehta
Megan Mehta, a senior at Amador Valley High School, is passionate about helping her peers learn about opportunities in the healthcare field, and connecting students from disadvantaged backgrounds to essential resources to pursue their dreams. She is endlessly fascinated by the power of communication and networks, and she works to help underrepresented minorities break into the healthcare field. In addition to striving to increase diversity in healthcare, Megan is also an avid organ donation advocate. In her free time, Megan loves to play video games, watch too much Netflix, walk and play with her dog, and travel!

My name is Isabella Murray, and I am a student at Hillsdale High School. I love science, and love talking about science, so I am really excited to be involved with Teens in Health. In the future, I plan on doing research in the biological sciences. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and playing the violin.
Raj Sheth
Ahoy! I am a senior at Silver Creek High School. When I'm not working, you can find me writing or playing tennis. Currently, I am primarily interested in the medical field, but I also have a slight affinity for physics. Over quarantine, I've developed a hobby for freeline skating and card throwing :) I'm excited to write for TeensInHealth because it combines my two main interests: Medicine and Writing.
Aayush Pagaria
Aayush is a high school student aspiring to be a physician, planning to specialize in ophthalmology, emergency medicine, or invasive cardiology. He joined Teens in Health to explore various medical/science topics and share them with fellow high school students. During his high school career, he has contributed significantly to the school’s Pre-Medical Club, volunteered at his local hospital in the midst of COVID-19, and started a charity organization, Music for Medicine, with the goal to raise funds for medical nonprofits by singing song covers for his donors. Aayush’s other interests include performing onstage with his school’s theatre department and helping out fellow calculus students.
